About me

I am currently a Flatiron Research Scientist, a permanent research appointment at the Flatiron Institute, working under the leadership of Director Michael Shelley and Deputy director of Genomics Olga Troyanskaya. The Flatiron Institute is an internal research division of the Simons Foundation with a mission to advance our understanding of science, both through the analysis of large, rich datasets and through theory, modeling and simulation. I also hold a Visiting Research Scholar title at the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics at Princeton University.

I was a featured scientist in the Flatiron Scientist Spotlight series.

Prior to joining the institute, I completed my post-doctoral training under the mentorship of Professor Robert Darnell, HHMI Investigator, at Rockefeller University and the New York Genome Center, where I gained valuable experience combining computational and experiential approaches. I received my Ph.D. training at Princeton University in Computer Science studying genomics, where I was advised by Olga Troyanskaya. As an undergraduate, I studied Biochemistry and Computer Science at the University of Washington, Seattle, where I was mentored by William Stafford Noble.
